The atmosphere at the LIKE 2 Festival was energetic and lively. Thousands of visitors from various groups, ranging from students to environmental activists, explored the technology exhibits on display and attended various talk show sessions, interacting directly with innovators and experts.

At Shelter Kolaborasi talk show on August 9, Life Cycle Indonesia’s Founder and Principal, Dr. Jessica Hanafi, shared her expertise and insights on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) with other invited panelists.

During the discussion, Dr. Jessica emphasised the importance of LCA as a cornerstone in the development of sustainability in various sectors. She wrapped up the session by highlighting how LCA can benefit both business and daily life, as well as the importance of having the right mindset in looking at product life cycles. LCA is not only a tool to measure the environmental impact of a product, but should be the basis for sustainable decision-making.

By understanding the full life cycle of a product or service, businesses can identify opportunities for emissions reduction, resource efficiency, and innovation. LCA offers a comprehensive and scientific approach to achieving long-term sustainability goals. Through LCA, we can create positive changes that have a major impact on the environment and society.

LIKE 2 visitors not only gained insights from expert talks but also engaged with practical sustainability innovations at the exhibitions.

The Borneo agroforestry coffee booth showcased shade-grown coffee cultivated beneath forest canopies. At this booth, visitors tasted this sustainably produced coffee, attracting them to support forest conservation.

Another interesting exhibit was innovative low-emission steel smelting technology developed by PT Gunung Raja Paksi, utilizing Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) technology, which achieves lower carbon emissions by primarily using recycled steel scrap, thereby reducing the need for raw materials like iron ore and coke, which are essential in traditional blast furnace methods.. This technology is a clear example of how heavy industry can contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions.

The festival also offered other interesting activities such as free vehicle emission testing, an electric motorcycle conversion workshop — demonstrating the transformation of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) motorcycles into electric ones, and a coaching clinic for businesses to help improve their environmental awareness and regulatory compliance.

Festival LIKE 2 provided visitors and participants with valuable knowledge and hands-on experiences, showcasing Indonesia's progress in sustainability and its commitment to addressing climate change.
